Welcome to Namibia

Elder Nakala and Elder McGregor
We have waited 7 1/2 weeks to get all the elders here. Two elders without a companion joined together for 2 1/2 weeks and then we formed a threesome. They were great workers and learned a lot from each other. Finally on May 21st we got 3 more elders from Cape Town South Africa Mission. We were so excited when their Visas were approved. I thought you would like to see them.

God Be With YOU

April 27th these wonderful elders: Elder Schneider, Elder Penman and Elder Rogers went to South Africa on another missionary assignment. We expected to receive 3 more elders here, but have encountered VISA problems. That is nothing new, however. We hope that the new elders will soon receive approval to come to Windhoek, Namibia. This is a choice land waiting for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Penduka means Wake-up

Penduka was established in 1990 with just a handful of rural women.  They now employ over 100 women. They have learned how to embroidery, do batik and glass beads.

Batik is made with bread flour. This is a 5 step process.

The women embroidery their life history on various items.

They do glass beads from recycled pop bottles.
